What is blue spirulina? Blue spirulina – also known as phycocyanin – is a natural dye derived from the blue-green algae Arthrospira platensis. Unlike green spirulina, it is an isolated extract known for its intense, vibrant blue color. Traditionally, spirulina has been used as a dietary supplement in various cultures.
Nutritional profile – what's in it? Blue spirulina contains phycocyanin, a blue-pigmented protein, as its main active ingredient.
